What students need to bring:
You don't need a large amount of materials and equipment to start painting in oils successfully.
It's generally better to have fewer colours to start with - you learn how to mix colour more successfully that way!
For the basics you will need a few oil colours, oil brushes, bottle of refined linseed oil and a bottle of white spirit and surface to paint on - stretched canvas, canvas board or hardboard/plywood or MDF.
If you have any of the these already, bring them to the first session.
There is a vast range of art materials available to buy, so it's best to take advice on what to get before heading to your local art shop or buying online.
An advisory list of materials and equipment, the best way and which ones to purchase, will be issued as a handout at the beginning of the first session.
